For those learners who are lacking in motivation within the classroom, this might be for many reasons. It maybe that they are experiencing a certain difficulty that has not been recognised thus leaving the learner feeling dissatisfied with their own inability to learn or they have low self-esteem in their own learning ability.
It will be the role of the MAST tutor to guide the learner through the difficulties, teaching the learner new skills to overcome their frustrations, with the result of the learner gaining self-belief in their ability to learn
