With all that there is available for the young today, you might believe that life is easier? However it is no longer a simple life and children no longer have simple choices.
Growing up can be a testing time for the young and with added
pressures of moving house, fitting into a new environment, struggling in the classroom, peer pressure and friend relationships, deadlines to meet, it is not surprising that they may need a little help along the way.
For some children and young people it is difficult to talk and listen to the people that are close to them whether it be a parents or a teacher. This can be for no other reason that they do not want to let them down by failing.
MAST can offer the child a chance to talk and discuss their concerns and issues with an outside, confidential party whilst working through strategies to overcome the problem. Giving them the confidence to use these skills in the areas needed, creating success and fulfilment, the most important goal a happy, well balanced individual.
